The night after I did the Get Your Buzz Up event in Madison, WI I returned to the High Noon Saloon (Probably my favorite venue of all time) to work another event, called the iStandard Producers SHowcase.

Similar to Get Your Buzz Up, but tailored towards producers instead of Artists, the iStandard showcase tours to around 20 cities annually, bringing with them industry legends like producer’s Illmind (Kanye West, Lady Gaga), and Buckwild (Jay-z, Big Pun, The Notorious B.I.G.), both of whom served as judges for this year’s Madison event.

Each Producer got to play 5 beats for the judge panel and audience, then received a respectful critique from the panel. I don’t have to say how invaluable professional feedback is to a burgeoning producer.

In addition, there was a big line-up of awesome artists to keep the party going after the showcase, all of them relatively new.

This mix of artists, fans, and producer’s made for an incredibly useful and fun event, filled with networking opportunities for new artists and producer’s alike to find creative partners and promotion.
