The new New Year’s compilation from World Around Records is out, entitled We Are World Around Vol. 2, and it’s awesome. Seriously, this 19 track gem is a no-brainer for immediate download and rotation in your “Best of Indie Hip-Hop” playlist.
Featuring songs from the entire World Around roster, We Are World Around Vol. 2 is is filled with a broad range of styles that reflects the diversity of the World Around crew.
A couple of my favorites (as of now) are Zilla Rocca x Dr. Quandary – Vast Vehicle and Daimyo – No Days Off feat. Humpasaur Jones , and for the instrumental fans check out Man Mantis – Plexippus or Chants – Bone China. But really, I haven’t heard anything on this album I didn’t like at least a little.
It’s not necessarily the kind of compilation I would listen to all the way through in one sitting. There’s something for every mood on there, so I’d be more likely to jump to a particular track depending on the day. But whatever you’re felling, they got you covered.
Do yourself a favor and grab this one up ASAP.
