Young Filmmaker Trevor Banks of Number Twenty Films unveiled the first of his upcoming “Artist Profiles” series, which aims to shed a light into the inner workings of various Madison, WI area musicians. Although I’m not currently living in Madison, it’s my hometown, so I always love seeing new media coming out of the area.
The first mini-doc in the series is on DJ Pain 1, whom I’ve filmed extensively in the past, so I was thrilled when Trevor asked if I could contribute a small number of live clips for the project, including shots from a beat battle at the High Noon Saloon, and from a live set at A Taste of Madison, an annual culture festival held on the Capitol Square in Madison.
Trevor did a fantastic job of shooting and editing the different footage sources together. Definitely worth a watch:
I’m glad I could contribute, and I can’t wait to see how the series progresses.
