Definition of Bars: Video Series Showcases Madison MCs

My fellow Madison, WI lens-slinger Aasian Andy has kicked off a new Youtube channel for his local Hip Hop video series “Definition of Bars”. It’s pretty simple: Local artists spit a single verse on camera wherever Andy happens to meet up with them. Might be at a party, local clothing store, etc.

Andy has been a regular presence in the HipHop community for years, and has become known locally for his event photography. Adding video to resume is a natural progression.

So far, he’s gathered bars (as in 16 bars, a common length for a verse) from the likes of King Kronos, Tefman, Smokes, and Jay Jupiter, with (hopefully) many more to come.

I hope he keeps this up, it’s a great way to showcase the large pool of Hip Hop talent in Madison. Below are a couple of the videos, be sure to check out his YouTube channel to see all of them.
