OK, lets talk.
You want a website. You want it cool, effective, and cheap. Am I right?
Well, it doesn’t get much less expensive than this. I’ll set up a Basic Site at no cost to you, other than the cost of your Hosting Plan.
But real quick, let me get something out of the way.
Check out the Order Form on the right sidebar there, and you’ll notice that if you already have web hosting the prices are actually higher than if you don’t.
Yeah I saw that, what’s the deal?
Here’s the deal:
I offer insanely low prices on websites. One way I keep the cost to you so low is from affiliate commissions I get when you sign up for web-hosting through my affiliate link.
When you do that, I get a little kickback from the hosting company for bringing them a customer, and then I pass the savings on to you.
If you already have hosting, I have to add on the difference to my price. I work cheap, but I can’t afford to work too cheap. Know what I mean?
So if you don’t have hosting, don’t get it yet! I’ll send that link to you once you’ve ordered along with the rest of your instructions.
If you already have hosting with:
HostGator, BlueHost, GoDaddy, DreamHost or any hosting running cPanel with Fantastico Deluxe or similar = $50
I do not currently do setups on Windows-based Servers. If that’s your setup, I apologize in advance.
Sounds fair. So what comes with a Basic Site?
Here’s how this works:
Place your order using the form on the right. After you order, I’ll send a confirmation and an email with instructions for hosting sign-up, plus a list of things I need from you (like the login info for your new account, etc.)
Once I have everything I need from you, I’ll install and configure WordPress, and I’ll hook you up with the following:
- 3 pages of content, one of which will be a Blog, and I’ll fill those pages with any text and pictures you give me. If you want one to be a general media page, I’ll gladly embed a video for you (from your Youtube, Vimeo or other social video site account) as well.
- Configuration of the Twenty Eleven theme by WordPress. I’ll put in a background and header image for you if you like. You supply the graphics. BTW, you are not tied to that particular theme. There are thousands of free theme choices online, and my guide will show you how to select a different one if you want. Speaking of my guide…
- An easy to follow Visual Guide that walks you through all the basics of running your site. You’ll be amazed at how easy things like posting, creating pages, and embedding pics/audio/video can be.
And I’ll install and configure the following plugins:
- Fast Secure Contact Form – An easy embeddable contact form for fans or customers to get in touch, without having to give out your email or phone number
- All-In-One SEO – One of the best search engine optimization tools available, easy to use. SEO is essential to getting your site ranked favorably and generally letting the interwebz know what it is you do.
- Google Sitemap Generator – creates a sitemap of your website, allowing all the major search engines to easily crawl your site and up your position in search results.
- Akismet – gets rid of comment spam on your site so you don’t get Viagra ads in the middle of your posts discussions.
I’ll set this up for you just for getting a new hosting account through my affiliate link.
