The Saboteurs EP – Some Original Music From JoeGuerilla

OK, I realized recently that even though I’m pretty much neck-deep in the music industry with my video and web work, most of the people I’ve encountered over the last few years aren’t aware that I actually write and make music myself.

This is , of course, my fault. I haven’t recorded anything in awhile, [...]

New Video: The Nod Perform “The States” Live at the Union Terrace

Lots of chatter regarding now defunct band The Nod and former front-man Brett Newski as of late. But I have a lot to share. Brett requested this one personally, so I am happy to post it.

This live version of “The States” comes from a DVD I created for The Nod at their Final show [...]

SIMS Live at the High Noon Saloon – Bad Time Zoo Tour

Shortly after returning from SXSW this year, (where I saw too many bands to count, including Doomtree and Astronautalis) I was thrilled and amazed to see Sims from Doomtree coming through Madison, WI.

Amazed because of the crazy touring schedule this guy and his label-mates keep, and thrilled because he’s super dope :)

“A Little Chore” – Joeguerilla Films Entry to the 2011 48GFC!

Some amazing friends including Harvest Walker, Man Mantis, and my lovely wife Jennifer got together a couple weeks ago and had a go at the 48hr Guerrilla Film Contest. We had exactly 48 hours to write, shoot , edit, and deliver a 5-7 minute film based on an assigned genre, line of dialog and “money shot” specified by the contest.

Blueprint “The Clouds” Live at The Frequency

The Clouds is off of Blueprint’s latest album “Adventures in Counter-Culture”, which is quickly becoming one of the most talked about Hip-Hop albums this year.

It’s a slow building, intense song about reaching for your dreams, getting off your ass, and making things happen for yourself.

Blueprint takes the energy from 1 to 11 in this performance, and his set that night has boosted him into the upper echelon of Hip-Hop performers in my book.
If you haven’t heard it yet, scoop this one up immediately. You will not regret it.

Man Mantis – Red Dragonfly (Official Music Video)

My homie Man Mantis is one talented cat, and his new Sea Ambulance EP is an excellent example of the kind of production chops Mantis is capable of.

A precursor to his upcoming Full-length Cities Without Houses, Sea Ambulance is full of dark sample-based soundscapes, soaring melodies and driving beats. One song in particular, the [...]

Direct Hit! : Making Dudes Kiss For Cash & Pills + “Mutant Drunk” Live!

A few weeks back I was out at the Frequency in Madison checking out a band called Masked Intruder. It was awesome.

While I was there I figured I’d hang about and get some footage of another great Midwest punk band, Direct Hit! and alt-country badasses The American Dead.

Koffin Kats Live at The Annex = Pure Badassery

I saw the Koffin Kats for the first time at The Annex the other night, and I have to say, I am all for them coming back soon. It’s been a looong time since I saw a band rock out like these guys.
It was like band acrobatics, seriously.
