Another great song from The American Dead out of Madison, WI. A bit different from much of their material, Ain’t It Strange has more of a pop punk feel with a bit of Country influence.

The Clouds is off of Blueprint’s latest album “Adventures in Counter-Culture”, which is quickly becoming one of the most talked about Hip-Hop albums this year.
It’s a slow building, intense song about reaching for your dreams, getting off your ass, and making things happen for yourself.
Blueprint takes the energy from 1 to 11 in this performance, and his set that night has boosted him into the upper echelon of Hip-Hop performers in my book.
If you haven’t heard it yet, scoop this one up immediately. You will not regret it.
A few weeks back I was out at the Frequency in Madison checking out a band called Masked Intruder. It was awesome.
While I was there I figured I’d hang about and get some footage of another great Midwest punk band, Direct Hit! and alt-country badasses The American Dead.
Masked Intruder is the best pop-punk band you hope never gets out of prison! These guys are about two things – Stalkin’ and Rockin. Both of which they do very well (allegedly).

I saw the Koffin Kats for the first time at The Annex the other night, and I have to say, I am all for them coming back soon. It’s been a looong time since I saw a band rock out like these guys.

That about sums up the band Whisky Pig, whom I recently caught opening for the Koffin Kats at The Annex in Madison, WI. Good times people, good times :)
